Eligibility for Admission
Minimum Educational Requirements
- Candidates belonging to all categories seeking admission to B.Sc. Nursing should have passed the qualifying examination after 12 years of study with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, or Botany and Zoology.
- Before admission, every candidate shall submit a certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer stating that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course.
- The minimum educational requirement is a pass in the H.Sc. school certificate examination after 12 years of schooling.
- Senior School Certificate Examination (10 + 2), Pre-Degree Examination (10 + 2), or an equivalent qualification with 12 years of schooling from a recognized Board or University is accepted.
- Candidates must have studied Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in PCBE. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum percentage is 40%.
Admission Terms and Conditions
- The minimum age for admission is 17 years on 31 December of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age limit is 35 years.
- A candidate with Science who has passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10 + 2) must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together and passed English individually.
- Candidates from a State Open School recognized by the State Government or the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government are eligible when they have Science subjects and English.
- English is a compulsory subject in 10 + 2 for eligibility for admission to B.Sc. Nursing.
- Colour-blind candidates are eligible provided corrective contact lenses or spectacles are worn as required.
- The candidate shall be medically fit, and students shall be admitted once in a year.
